Rumors That Country Music Star Carrie Underwood Has Undergone Plastic Surgery

Five months after Carrie Underwood suffered her terrifying fall that required 40 stitches in her face, many fans noticed something different about her appearance – leading them to speculate she may have undergone cosmetic surgery to alter it.

However, in an interview with Redbook Carrie addressed these rumors by insisting she has not undergone plastic surgery.

Nose Surgery

One of the most frequently performed cosmetic procedures, rhinoplasty involves changing the shape and size of one’s nose to enhance aesthetic or functional purposes. Carrie Underwood has not spoken publicly about undergoing this surgery but there have been reports suggesting she underwent one to repair damage caused by a recent car accident.

Carrie Underwood of Something in the Water suffered a nasty fall outside her Nashville home in November 2017, which required 40 stitches in her face and required her to remain out of public view while healing. In April she made a dramatic return with an incredible performance at the Country Music Awards; although Carrie warned fans she might look different post injury; some took this to indicate plastic surgery had changed her appearance.

Many factors can have an effect on how a person looks, from lighting and makeup choices to camera angles. Recently, however, some observers have noticed that Carrie’s nose appears slimmer and refined in recent photos; these changes could have been brought about through either cosmetic surgery such as nose jobs or procedures such as fillers and liposuction.

Rhinoplasty

Carrie Underwood is an icon in the music industry and beloved wife and mother who also advocates for charitable causes. Her beauty has long been an inspiration to women across America; however, recently there have been reports suggesting she may have undergone plastic surgery procedures.

At her Nashville home in late 2018, singer Kiki Layne fell down a flight of stairs, incurring 40 stitches to her face and breaking her wrist. Since then, fans have noticed changes to both her facial structure and nose – some even saying they barely recognize her anymore!

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as nose job surgery, can alter the size, shape and proportions of your nose. It may be performed to correct birth defects, injuries or other issues causing deviation from its regular shape. An experienced plastic surgeon can perform either closed or open rhinoplasty depending on your needs.

Closed rhinoplasty requires making an incision on the skin between your nostrils (columella). This allows a surgeon to correct cartilage and bones of your nose. With open rhinoplasty, an incision is made across your nasal base skin – either way enabling him or her to remove or add tissue as required in order to achieve your desired look.

Facelift

Carrie Underwood has quickly established herself as both a country superstar and beauty icon with an ever-expanding fanbase since first appearing on American Idol in 2004. Although some changes can be attributed to normal aging or makeup techniques alone, others such as changes to her eyes or lips have lead to speculations regarding plastic surgery procedures being done on Carrie.

Carrie Underwood addressed reports of her fall that left her needing 40-50 stitches in her face and breaking her wrist in November 2023 by responding to speculations that it might have been staged to cover up plastic surgery procedures. In a recent interview with Redbook, Carrie disproved such claims.

You will need to discontinue certain medications including aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and naproxen sodium (Aleve), while smoking should also be avoided both prior to and post surgery.

Carrie Underwood recently responded to speculation that her accident last November required 40 stitches as an elaborate cover-up for plastic surgery by saying in an interview with Redbook that these allegations were “insulting.” Nonetheless, she did not deny having cosmetic procedures done.
